This site allows you to calculate your gains and losses from crypto trades made across various exchanges in various cryptocurrencies. The site is currently in development and the focus is on supporting tax reporting in Sweden, and gains and losses are reported in
Fiat: EUR, SEK, and USD.
We currently support around thirty of the top cryptocurrencies (and popular trading pairs), with a goal to support more key currencies and exchanges. Trades made on exchanges that are not supported can be entered using a generic file format. It can also be used to enter non-exchange trades (ICOs, forks, purchases of goods, etc.).
Exchanges: Bitstamp, Coinbase Pro, and Generic.
cryptogains.io takes a ZIP file containing trade data from various exchanges (in CSV format) as input. As output it procuces a ZIP file containing the various reports. The output ZIP contains:
- Current holdings per cryptocurrency.
- Gains and losses per year & cryptocurrency.
- Individual trades per cryptocurrency (expressed in
gains-and-losses-<yyyy>.csvfile per year. Showing realized gains a losses for the year in question.
XXX-SEK.csvfile per trading pair containing all the trades in crypto currency
The PDF is meant as a readable summary, whereas the CSVs can be opened using, for example, Excel or Numbers and used for further calculations or as input to tax forms.
Since this service is in beta, it is currently offered for free. At the moment it lacks a simple user interface, which means that in order to upload a ZIP to
cryptogains.io and receive the corresponding report, you will have to use a command line tool (
curl). This is straight forward but requires some technical expertise. Please follow the instructions in the Howto.
